Hi! Anyone else tried connecting to the IR tower via a USB -> Serial converter? I've been trying with an Entrega U1S9 (USB->9 pin serial) because my primary robotics machine is a Sony Vaio laptop and I HATE having to hook up the port expander just (...) Here's a hint for those of you who aren't getting enough Lego for holidays - give your parents, or wife, or whomever a list of "sets I want and promise not to buy". You don't need to install Mindstorm to use NQC, only the spirit.ocx. RCX Command Center is a great front-end to NQC.
