Jim, I agree that the Mac version of the software is better than the Mindstorms software, but I do have to commend Connectix Corp. for making this change in their software. Not necessarily so, there is some residual capacity. I have replaced batteries in the past without loosing firmware or programs by flipping out the old, and inserting the new within a couple of seconds. (27 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

We've opened 20+ copies of the same sets, and we get any mix of the three bags: 1) Perforated, so the kiddies can't choke 2) Unperforated with the big CHOKING HAZARD label, so the parents can't sue 3) Unperforated with no warning, I assume so TLG (...) (27 years ago, 4-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
