  Indiana Jones Lego Store Display

Since it's very unlikely that the tank would be done for the Indiana Jones sets, I tried to do my version of it based from pics that I found in the book From Star Wars To Indiana Jones. Now it's on display in the LEGO store at Bridgewater Mall in (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Re: Hiawatha steam locomotive

(...) We'll I finally was able to snap a few photos of the front truck fix for my Hiawatha at (URL) last week's show>. Before the fix the engine ran fine at home but would always derail at shows. After some diagnostics, it became clear that with the (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) John: That might work if you were using precolored pellets...but honestly...if you were using precolor, you wouldn't see the variation. :-) With both concentrates and liquid color, there can easily be shot-to-shot variation if (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) Excellent lesson. This kind of material would have been welcome in this group a couple of years ago. Better late than never. Thanks for the info. Doug (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) Thanks, it is starting to clear things up for me. Would a solution be to make the bricks from one batch, or at least put bricks into the box from the same mixture? I am somewhat familiar with dye lot variations as I worked in the needlecraft (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Roof question

(...) And my apologies for responding to myself but... aren't you somewhat of an expert of multi-layered, multi-hinged shapes? You could probably do something really neat by hiding a multi-angled shell under plates stuck on studs up (or even with (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

  Re: Roof question

(...) Angling some wing plates is the only solution I'm aware of and it's not that great IMO. Basically it's a nasty problem. You may be able to try something tricky with 1x1 slopes too. Tim (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) John: Not quite. Flextronics is a molder, while the suppliers they would buy precolored pellets from are compounders. The difference is all in the method and intensity of mixing. When a compounder colors a resin like ABS, they do start with a (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Lugnet - the talk-back radio of the world of Lego?

(...) Yes, but it's not clear if everything aimed at the adult market has been successful. Dan Siskind's Blacksmith's Shop was the "first" of the My Own Creation series, but was there ever a second one? While I think most of us would agree, it was a (...)   Re: solo il venti per cento?

Io (...) (17 years ago, 15-Feb-08, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: solo il venti per cento?

(17 years ago, 15-Feb-08, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)
