Thanks to all who showed up at the last meeting. We had a few people who brought working rope crossing robots. My next Lego landmark: St. Peter's Basilica. Or should I say a cathedral based on St. Peter's Basilica? Oh these guys are famouus for literally scanning the box work/EVEN TUB stickers, putting there logo in the red box, and selling away. In almost all cases however the shipping is so high that you actually don't usually save enough $ over the LEGO version for the sets to be "worth it". The dominiant brand seems to be the (...) (...) The Chinese have been doing this for a long time now. I remember seeing sets on ebay from 1999. I believe that they were Castle and City sets. Exactly like the Lego models they copied. Below are the two Shop@home specials on the phone recording. When I phoned Shop@home yesterday, I was given a list that included about 14 items. Does anyone have even a mock-up that's usable until the full part is ready? It's the wheels for almost all of the Tiny Turbo sets. I've been putting the tyres in without the wheels and man do those cars look weird. :-) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)
