Well this is a first of sorts for me on several levels:

Great stuff. I like the look. On the topic of the
lights. If you have a Mac(iTunes+os9) and a RCX
you might like this idea I had from while back

Run the show in-sync to the music!

Again props on the layout.

Ps: Mail me/comment if anyone wants the iTunes plugin
or wants links/hints/howtos for other player-apps(OS's).

Thanks, Dave!

I've given some thought to adding actual music but in that it's (thus far) been
displayed as part of the local train club display... I'm not convinced that most
would be happy to endure my choice of music despite how cool it would be. :) I'd
be interested in other OS (win 9X) apps but need an RCX first. ;)

Joel

Joel,

When I read about the OS/rcx, I got thinking (yes I do sometimes...). We could
plaly I-tunes from the movie Theater (Macintosh Laptop). This will not interfer
with display of the presentation and/or the wireless camera. In the last layout,
the band was close to the Drive-In theater anyway. We could put them next to
eachother, as in real life, drive-in movie theaters are located just outside
cities, as are concert halls!
I'm redesigning the parking lot of the drive in so we can reach certain keys on
the keyboard when pushing on a fig or car. I could make one for volume up, and
one for volume down. I also have an unused RCX, you're welcome to experiment
with it.
