On February 3rd and 4th NCLUG in cooperation with the Morehead Planatarium at the University of North Carlina Chapel Hill hosts LEGO Palooza. I now have an 8 car 7740 train (plus engine): 1 7740 engine 1 7740 dining car 3 7740 coach 2 xxxx club car 1 7815 sleeper 1 7819 mail car I hope to build the blue and red cars (from 7715 and 7818 parts) to go (...) This weekend the North Carolina LEGO Train Club (NCLTC) displayed our layout at the Southern Jumction Model Train Show. My rule of thumb is to attach 2x3 bricks to the inside of a curve's ties and make sure that the building comes no closer than that (i.e., the building is always 2 studs away from the inside curve.) Any suggestions on a general rule as to how much space is prudent to leave on either side of track for a variety of trains to easily negotiate around curves? This is for NCLUG/NCLTC's upcoming GATS.
