Of course now the Sealug folks will be upset they are somewhere in South Eastern Washington instead of Seattle.

Will there eventually be an ability to zoom in further? It would be nice to be able to make out the locations easier at a regional level.

The day I started with the new maps and when I designed the pictures, I wasn’t aware of the large number of LUGs, MUGs and LTCs. I thougt it would result in a similar number as on the old maps. Hindsight is 20/20. Added to the Suggestion List: http://news.lugnet.com/admin/suggestions/List

PNLTC probably should also be moved to halfway between Portland and Seattle to reflect the center of gravity of the club... (ok, a smidgen East to account for Matt Chiles...).

After Jeremy’s post I intend to move PNLTC from the list!?

Hmm, it would also be nice at some point to replace the push pin with some kind of LEGO element...

Thought the same, but I’m not knowing about an element, which becomes thin as a needle at the bottom. Any suggestions are welcome.

Hmm, noticed the event locations. Will this include historic or just upcoming?

I’m not sure. First, I thought also of historical ones, but this isn’t very useful, at least not on such a map. I think we should add upcoming events only.

Leg Godt! Rene

Upcoming and historic: BrickFest PDX in Portland Oregon NWBrickCon in Seattle Washington

Historic (and perhaps upcomming): BrickFest in Washington DC greater metro area

Historic (and probably not recurring): Mind Fest in Cambridge Massachusetts BricksWest in Carlsbad California Kidvention in Carslbad California

(...) Perhaps use the Google Maps interface? I know it's possible to place arbitrary pointers on it (with a popout for more details, websites, etc). Should make it easier to update too, as the data then just becomes an XML file. Dan (18 years ago, 13-Nov-06, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)
