  The Beautiful Amtrak (Genesis?) Engine at BrickFest
 
I've seen this locomotive before from Robin Werner (gee, I hope I've remembered that correctly!). But, I don't think I've seen such a nicely composed photograph of it and its complement of cars as Jake presents at his BrickShelf gallery for (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

Hi, i just got off the phone with Lego Direct. The guy said that these two sets will be released at the end of August or September, just in time for Christmas. He doesnt know where they will be sold, Possibly Lego S@H. I dont think they'll be sold (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

It was pretty cool seeing Jakes version of the hoppers, kind of spooky seeing how similar they were. I was amazed that he was able to copy them so well from the simple pictures I posted. The best part is that I got to see what they'd look like in (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Could you clarify what you mean by terminate? 9V turnouts are power directing. If you build a ladder of turnouts, only the route that is aligned gets power. All the others don't. IMHO, these are indicative that quite a bit of people are discovering that special magic that our beloved ABS trains seem to radiate. I think Ben is right. first of all, lego should stop juniorizing their new sets, let alone their vastly popular train sets. i think the 9v train sets were great, up until the 4560-or the US version the 4561. the 4559 looked ok, but with alittle (...) I awoke to a very pleasant surprise today. My 10013 & 10014 have arrived in Ottawa! Haven't built them yet, since we have company, but they will be built before the day is out. <grin> Box looks nice. all true.. we have a few regular car boot sales here in Cardiff wales as people do all over the UK, depending on the weather, usually 100 - 300 cars full of old junk (some people will buy anything...really) and some fantastic gems. The gray rails are found in 1351 movie backdrop and 6096 Bull's attack. The hardest parts to find new are the sliding doors. Anyone who is willing to sell/trade, contact me.
