Overall, I am pretty happy with it.  There are lots of great parts (13 • plane
windows with glass and four of the 1x8 plates with the rail groove, 1x2 • red
corrugated bricks) and a surprising amount of detail for a $15 set.  The
interior has small desk and a stove.  I can definitely see buying a number
of these for parts.

I'll build the other one (log carrier) later.

Following up my own post ...

My six year old son just finished building the 10013 Log Carrier.  It is
okay, nothing great.  It isn't a bad model but there is something about it
that just doesn't appeal to me.  I think if the blue elements were dark grey
it would appeal to me a whole lot more.  I guess it is that the Train Wagon
End plates (http://img.lugnet.com/ld/6583.gif) look out of place.  On the
plus side it is a four axel car built on a 6x24 black wagon plate.  There
are not any particularly rare or unusual parts in this set.  I suspect it
will be the weakest selling set of the new lot.

A couple more thoughts on the caboose.  It would have been  really great had
it been built on a 6x24 wagon plate as well and I wish the plane windows
were red.  Those are my only real complaints.  I like the set, I wish I
could find it one the shelf at Wal-Mart.  It is the kind of set that has a
part selection I like and is at a price point where everytime I was in
Wal-Mart somehow one would find its way into my cart.

Mike
