  Re: Millennium City

(...) Looks great! However, the images, especially the map are quite large. I think the map would best be saved as a gif file instead of jpg. Since the file was already a kpg, I couldn't make it into a nice gif, but here's a file showing how much (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Once Again, Legoville...

One way to get rid of boxiness and conformity might be to make your buildings a bit bigger, and model them after real-world buildings or pictures of buildings that have some character. These could be town halls, churches, strip malls, or whatever (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Millennium City

Well, here it finally is, the Millennium City(1) webpage. Like the Death Star in "Return of the Jedi", the Millennium City page while operational is far from complete. Currently only the City Tours page is working but it includes over 30 images of (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.general)

Re: Unique nose piece for an airplane

Well Scott, I made a space shuttle model for my 6th grade science class that used the tower top from the Black Knight's Castle as the nose cone...of course, somebody stole it. (Not the shuttle, just the nose cone!!) So how about some steep sloped (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Unique nose piece for an airplane

(...) I was hoping to avoid that, but may have no choice. I didn't want the model to get too big and bulky, I want to still be able to park it in my 6392 airport. Scott (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Unique nose piece for an airplane

(...) Scott, Yesterday I built a pretty good model of a 737 jet using only basic bricks and plates (I think its width was twelve studs) I suggest you not use any specialized pieces, instead try using bricks and plates, they look realistic (But a bit (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Such a dark and drizzly place this has become.....

(...) can (...) I totally agree. I have been a town collector for 15 years. But in the last 5 years I have started building my own designs. There are two reasons. 1: The short life span of some town related themes and 2: Town Jr. Allan J Smith -- My (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Unique nose piece for an airplane

I want to create an 8 stud wide jet, which is double the width of the normal airplanes made by Lego. I've created the basic shape, but am having problems with finding a nosecone which would work. The new StarWars sets have really helped creating a (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Such a dark and drizzly place this has become.....

(...) Erin, did you look at my web page? Ask Randy and the gang about the first time they went to my apartment...they can tell you, that I had a massive town layout. (URL) still do, a full room of it...and I want more...when I get back to Vic, I (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Once Again, Legoville...

(...) Well, depending on how much of a purist you are, you could use stickers (yes, I said the S word). I'm not certain, but I think that you should be able to find some at either model or train shops. I've not really had the chance to look around (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Once Again, Legoville...

Re: Such a dark and drizzly place this has become.....

(...) *laughs* I used to have a Lego room in our first house, which was about half the entire floor. Then in our second house, for about the span of a month, I some how managed to claim an entire floor. When I move out and get an apartment, I figure (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Once Again, Legoville...

(...) First of all, Jonas, don't despair. This is a learning process! The gret thing with Lego is that you can undo and rebuild so easily. Here's some ideas of where the problems you're having might be coming from... You may be trying to make your (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Once Again, Legoville...

I'm sure that quite a few of you fellow adult fans of Lego were eager to see how Legoville turned out, but looking over it this morning, it seems to me as if my 'Town' has turned into a 'Town, Jr'. Why? As it would appear, I have no sense of modern (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)
