Yes, this happened to anyone who bought the first round of these sets (8445,
8446, and 8448) because the first round of the hydraulic cylinders was
defective. All I had to do was write to Consumer Affairs describing the
problem, and they sent the replacement cylinders free of charge, a letter
apologizing and describing the problem with the first round of production, and
a JiffyPak envelope to send back the defective ones so they could analyze them
along with the thousands, maybe millions of other defective ones.

| I bought the 8448 supercar about 3 months ago. It's been sitting on my desk at work and hasn't really been touched at all. The doors have been opened probably 30 times. This leads me to my problem. The doors are raised automatically by a spring (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)
