There goes the neighborhood b/w Look who's coming to dinner.

I just recieved three copies of Tie Fighter (7146) in the mail from lego shop at home. To my great surprise, i found that all of my complaining (though definitely not mine alone) may have influenced a positive decision at TLC. Brown headpieces. (...) (24 years ago, 10-Feb-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: There goes the neighborhood b/w Look who's coming to dinner.

(...) You must have missed this discussion way back when the TIEs hit the shelves. Personally, I think that the TIE Pilot heads might well be TLC's way of testing the waters... if no one complains about the tone of brown, or something, they might (...) Yup, yer right. I definitely missed the discussion on the subject when these sets first appeared. Its been a while since I've had some extra cash to grab some Legos with, as it has also been some time since I could devote my mental energies to (...) (24 years ago, 10-Feb-01, to lugnet.starwars)

I normally don't reply to posts this old....but it is topical.... An anonymous source gave me the following information (plus showed me some pics) on 2002 sets. THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHHOOD!!! Ewoks make their appearance in a set... LOOK WHO'S (...) (23 years ago, 4-Aug-01, to lugnet.starwars) !

Posting pictures of Ewoks is public endangerment, it cause projectile vomitting in some people... Oh, you mean Mace Windu. No can do, he has the hereto unknown Jedi Power of "does not appear in photographs" so your out of luck for the moment. We are (...) (23 years ago, 4-Aug-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Well sorry to hear that, but he's coming, with a VERY big ship (it's going to get very expensive if you want a lot of them). Also, Yoda shows up as a minifig. I just hope that since the sets look decent, the movie won't suck. Matt (...) (23 years ago, 4-Aug-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: There goes the neighborhood b/w Look who's coming to dinner.

You could at least tell us how Yoda and the Ewoks are made. Like standard minifigs? Specially molded heads on standard torsos & legs? A single molded piece like Sebulba? (...) (23 years ago, 4-Aug-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: There goes the neighborhood b/w Look who's coming to dinner.

Um, Yoda might be one piece or two but definitely moves (Sebulba stank), The ewoks I didn't get a real good look at, but I believe though that Sebulba (and the rock monster) taught Lego that you need some articulation in the figures. I'm sure better (...) (23 years ago, 4-Aug-01, to lugnet.starwars)

There will be a mini-pack (6.99???) with Luke battling a storm trooper and a scout trooper. There is also a pack with Episode 1 droids with 2 droids and 1 good guy and a pack that recreates the episode 1 scene where Qui-Gon is trying to cut through (...) (...) I can't recall any scenes where Luke is battling a stormtrooper and a scout trooper... I wonder why they'd put the 3 together in a pack. Could you confirm that it is indeed *Luke* with the stormie and scout? Thanks. -- Jeromy Irvine (URL) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Kinda sounds like it'll just be another mini-fig "collectible" set like 3342 or something, other than the $7 price sticker. It's pretty dumb to have another Luke though. I think we have enough. I was trying to reson out why Lego hasn't included imperial soldiers (esp in sets like the AT-ST). My old logic was, that Lego doesn't like too many new pieces in one series and the ninja helms wouldn't really work. Then I saw a nice AT-ST driver (...)
