That is the aspect of the Consortium that I am most likely to participate
in. I am not overly concerned with the competition. I feel that I would
rarely enter my ships. What I do like is the ability to assign statistics
such as cost to my models. I think it will add to the design descriptions on
my web site, not to mention easier comparison with other Guild members
creations.
I look forward to a set of standards to build by. In my mind, half of them
will go out the window when I'm building anyway, because I'm more interested
in what's cool, not what's legal. I personally intend to use the standards
as a building reference to begin or flesh out a project. After all, it's not
the FAA - You can still fly your ship if it's not legal.
...OK, maybe with a waiver ;-)
