Well, it all depends on how you look at it. LOM is not (at least, not

reason for it not to be under Space.

Lucasfilm. There's that whole competition with Star Wars thingy we've all
heard about.

Some (2) would say that SW brought the deterioration of Space either way,
coz Insectoids and LOM are (in *their* opinion, not mine!) nowhere near
quality of classic space or even more recent themes.

Depends on who you ask. I don't think Exploriens or UFO were very good,
either. Personally, I don't think there have been any really good Space sets
since around 1995-1996.

Others would say SW didn't do anything, that LEGO was going down in all
their fields anyway, and SW was the only good thing that came out of recent
years.

I can agree with that. SW has come out with a lot of good parts, and they're
generally built better than many recent sets.

Others yet, who think LOM is a great theme, would say that I'm just
babbling. And they'd most likely be correct. ;-)

I think LoM is pretty good. There are some neat ideas, but I still wish
they'd cut down on the large SPUD usage. Oh well.

And me? I think Space is Space. Castle rules. So there. ;-)

Yeah, just look at all the new Castle sets in the catalog! There's the um...
well... maybe the..... oh wait, never mind. ;^)

(...) What on earth do you classify as a SPUD? I see perhaps 2 or 3, the main one being the air pump, and ok, there's that arch piece. The tubes? I don't call those SPUDs. The tube holders? Well, perhaps their spudsy, but since they are an important (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)
