You sir, are slightly incorrect. Historical fact places gun powder weapons
in Frace in 1411. At that time knights were still on horseback, broadswords
were common weapons, crossbows and longbows were still effective and Castles
were very much constructed similarly to those depicted by LEGO models. In
fact, they also showed up earlier (though very uncommon) in 1364 in a little
town called Perugia in Europe as an infantryman's weapon. The Scots built
one of the LARGEST siege cannons in history which is on public display in
the castle of Edinburogh (sp) Scotland. It was made to destroy castle walls
quickly.
SO, in the real world, plate armor and Castles fit PERFECTLY with gunpowder.
