Awesome job!  This is the best box-based exploratory vehicle I have seen.

Cool - thanks!

The modularity is great, although the submarine looks like it might have a
little trouble getting through water :)  I like the wheeled version a lot.

I built the wheeled version first, knowing that I wanted to make it modular, but
not really sure how to accomplish it. The result is that the other two
configurations (especially the sub) are weaker. Maybe next time I'll plan ahead
better :-)

The asymmetrical details on the sides of the model are the perfect touch to
break up the flat sides.

Which is exactly why I added them - to keep it from looking like the big box
that it is. Besides, I figured it made sense for a scientific vessel to have all
sorts of sensors & junk on the outside anyhow.

Speaking of snapshots, the
photography is great too, especially considering it looks like your camera
is limited to 640x480?

The pictures are stills captured from a digital video camera - it's the easiest
way I have of getting pictures into the computer. But yeah, pretty lo-rez.

Keep up the good work!
(Maybe I really do have to try a large Space model soon...but there's so
much competition! :)  Heck, people are even building cars at the same
outrageous scales that I use!)

Yes! Do it! I'd love to see you build a way cool big ol' ship.
