Well, I can’t blame you.
And, while the loss of yet another AFOL weakens not only the community but also
weakens the projects and richness of what some AFOLs are trying to do with their
hobbies, you have to do what you have to do.
In truth, I myself was slightly flamed (un-necessarily, or so I think) by
.spacers when I tried to be apart of their reindeer games and my MOCs were
“corrupted” by clone parts. I know, this is a LEGO group. I myself have a LEGO
collection of over 50,000 parts in LEGO alone. But, since I only discriminate on
the quality of the LEGO or Lego-ish parts, some clones have pleased me enough to
be included into the collection. Anyway, after that incident of snobbishness,
elitism and ill manners, I have pulled my enthusiasm from Lugnet.
Yes, I still make the occassional appearance to find helpful hints and to post
to my small collection of friends and give support for them. However, I am just
not the Lugnetter that I used to be. I am still quite active in other Lego
circles such as Starship (I encourage people to join, you can count me as a
friend if you are uncertain about people’s attitudes there!)
In other words, if Lugnet has lost that loving feeling, then let’s go elsewhere.
There are other groups and other web sites out there for us AFOLs.
Just my thoughts.

| I can't take it anymore! I have noticed a stream of immaturity and bickering that has gone too far. First, there are the SciBrick incidents. I can't understand what is going on here. The members involved were some of the most highly respected AFOL's (...) (20 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
