I agree. It has been brought to my attention (and rightfully so) that my review of the ‘Ghost’ was over the top. Apparently I’ve angered the Space gods. Since I ‘went off’ on him in public, I publicly apologize to Dean H. for the post. I’m not saying that I now like the moc, that would be dishonest, but I should have either said nothing, or provided a more constructive response. Some of my remarks were unecessarily harsh. The remarks are not indicative of my usual commentary, as anyone who has received them would know. The slam was mostly motivated out of irritation with Dean for his recent deluge of rambling posts, and complaints about lack of attention. Again, clearly I was in the wrong.

Two big changes you could make to your criticism is 1) try subtler remarks than “it’s as interesting as a bag of hammers”

Personally I disagree with you here. If my moc was uninteresting or unispired, I would want to know in no uncertain terms. The more colorfull the better. I happen to think that kind of commentary is funny. However, I know that many people don’t share that philosophy and I should be more sensitive to the feelings of others.

and 2) try actually making suggestions as to what’s actually wrong with various things - like the engine, saying it’s horrible just makes you sound immature, if you specify some actual design flaws and possible solutions it sounds a lot more intelligent... not to mention being much more helpful. I think you’ll also find that trying to think up possible improvements can also help form new construction ideas of your own (it’s happened to me before).

This is a bit much Paul. So I ‘sound’ immature and unintelligent.... ok... guilty as charged. You come off a little preachy here. Do you really think I don’t know how to provide intelligent, reasonable feedback. If you don’t, you have not been paying attention... after all, I did complement his interiors.

Anyways, good luck with your next critique Keith. ;-)

Consider my hand ruler-slapped by the sisters of lugnet. You may now return to the warm and fuzzy channel.

Remember, if your head comes away from your neck, its over. -Keith
