0.0 My God. It’s a cool idea but I want to conserve pieces for some other MOCs and I don’t usually know where to put everything. But it’s still a cool idea.

That is another limiting factor.

here’s a pic of one of my earlier creations (yes a castle creation, bear with me). I think it is kinda creative, and it kinda is. But it is nothing to write home about. I made it small and simple because I was building several different cities at the same time and wanted enough to do them all at once. That meant I had to conserve drastically. This is about ~july 2001 (which was when i found lugnet).

but i was continually upset because people never responded to my posts. heck, i even complained about it.

(*grins*) I see.

One of the things I have learned that has opened up so many possibilities for me is one simple rule:

Build one thing at a time. Don’t hold yourself back.

Right!

Right now I’ve got only one major castle creation, and it uses approx. of half of my light grey bricks and ALL of my blue roof pieces. Right now I’m saving it to show off at Brickfest, but then afterwards I’m going to take it apart and build something new.

That’s what I would do too.

You’ve got a digital camera, don’t hold back. Build something really great, take a BUNCH of pictures of it, tear it apart and build something new. That, to me, is the essence of LEGO building.

^.^ That’s how I usually do it. But, alas, I think this one is here to stay (well, maybe I’ll rip it apart one of these days but I’m going to keep this for a long time) ^.^

Thank you!
