All good ideas. I especially like the one about ships with concealed
weapons as I have tried to do this in some of my own designs too. Perhaps
it should be for hidden 'anything' though, not just weapons.
But first let me answer why you may be perceiving it to be quiet lately in
.space... Possible answers:
1) People are still busy building Moonbases, since such things can be large
and time consuming. That fad is not dead yet (I hope not anyway since I
haven't yet brought mine to any meetings with others).
2) Those interested in gaming with Lego space have moved some conversation
elsewhere to develop the community run RPG, Starship. Such people are busy
building spaceships, crews, and developing adventure ideas, as well as
discussing and brainstorming how the game will work. (Most of the
discussion is at http://www.creationcenter.com/boards/Starship/) (Everyone
who can build and post online is welcome to participate!)
3) Those people who cross-theme have been secretly abducting Spacers and
brainwashing them to use their precious bricks to design models for one of
several fads now growing in lugnet.castle. (Bwahahaaa!)
4) Uh... Something I haven't thought of yet...
:)

| Attention spacers! Things are a little too quiet in .space at the moment. The reason, IMO, is obvious. We need a new fad. Look at the past fads which have spurred a good deal of creativity: Mecha (the mother of all fads... so big they got their own (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.space)
