  random dodgy sensor readings?

Hello folks, Is it normal to get invalid 'active' signals from the analog inputs every so often?   Non Volatile Memory 2

What are the power requirements of the battery backed RAM and would it be possible to set this RAM up with a lithium battery similar to a PC so that the RAM would hold its memory for several years? (27 years ago, 28-Dec-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
