  [rtlToronto] BrickFest Pipe Racers

Hi guys, I'd like to tentatively announce the rtlToronto Robotics Event at BrickFest 2003 in Washington DC: (URL) will be run by Jeff Van Winden and yours truly at everyone's favourite Lego enthusiast gathering this August and you're invited to be a (...)   Re: [rtlToronto] BrickFest Pipe Racers

(...) First, I must warn you, this message is part info, part rant. Deal with it! :) I have some free time (while I'm unemployed) so I made a run to US Home Depot this morning. Well, actually I got about half way there, and realized it's a "Lowe's", (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: [rtlToronto] BrickFest Pipe Racers

Hi All, I tossed up a reference page of several plastic pipe components available at Home Depot (Woodbury, MN) for Pipe Racer comparison purposes. (URL) hoping the 'C5806' 45 degree elbow that was available here is similar to the 'C5806SR' version (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: [rtlToronto] BrickFest Pipe Racers

(...) Wow! Now that's dedication! Unfortunately the C5806SR is not the C5806. The SR must be "small radius" or something, because it's a lot tighter of a turn. I have put up a picture on the website. Is the SR available in Minnesota? Steve, do you (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: [rtlToronto] BrickFest Pipe Racers

(...) Ok, I made another trip to my local home improvement stores. I could not find a C5806SR. I found the C5806. I have a couple suggestions. First, in the "watered down for US" version of Pipe Races, how about using this 45 degree bend: (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: [rtlToronto] BrickFest Pipe Racers

(...) Why would we want easy??? :) In any case, the 'pressure' type has a larger cross section through the bend but maybe it's strength might be useful for this game. What I mean by added strength is that the pressure elbow has a stronger friction (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
