  rtlToronto11 Event Rules Posted

Hi folks, Okay, they're up: (URL) with your comments, suggestions, and debate. Chris has decided on 12 inch gap, 12 inch bot, single RCX. Start building! Calum (23 years ago, 4-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Does anyone have any ideas for robots that fit these guidelines? I had and idea for the 8 inch gap, 12 inch bot, and so did someone else I know, but I cant think of anything for these rules that doesnt require more than one RCX. Maybe I just need (...) (...) So I can start the bot anywhere on my island, right? I think the potential issue would be if player A want to position his bot to block the bridge of the other bot, and player B does not want that. We are stuck if they can't agree. The game (...) Well, I'm bringing a Therm-A-Rest(tm) mattress this time. :P Maybe we could do three tables, and one flag on the middle table, with the robots starting on the other two? (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

You could build a water cooling system for it, thats what I did. It's much quieter too. And, you could use one of those BIG water pumps from Active Surplus (I had to use a reject pond pump). (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Ok... I like the single RCX rule. (Although, I think if some builders want to use two RCX's, then let them. Its so much extra weight to carry around I think it would be a huge disadvantage.)
