  Re: Hi

(...) k, that's not so bad. i think my future design will still be within a foot and a half by a foot and a half. at least in width and length. height?? not so sure about. was thinking about taking Iain's elevator 'bot and adding a few stories (a la (...)   Next Game: Hockey

Boo! My other post didn't show. I had responded to Dave Koudys' post about the blockstacking, and size limits. Anyway... In that message I had suggested the idea of hockey for our next competition. Small robots, shouldn't be larger than 20 cm^3 (...) (24 years ago, 12-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Next competition

hey Dave: Ok, here is my take on this. Bruce managed to put across a convincing argument about size and RCX's basically his point (and I agree) is that really, no one will show up with a 7' x 7' bot. of course this is pure speculation and NOT a (...)   Re: Hi

(...) Well, that's the direction: The general idea was that people will unlikely build the 7 foot square bot, but they might need a few extra inches, so if we relax it, no one really would complain.   Next competition

So after a brief discussion with friends, hashed out a few ideas... I try to distinguish between the letter of the law nad the spirit of the law. When we went to Guelph and Victor first saw my cube 'bot, I felt as if I broke the spirit of the law, (...) (24 years ago, 11-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Hi

As per usual, not exactly up on things... Maybe I should pay attention more. Anyway, is it official that the size of the 'bot is unlimited now? So if I built a robot say, 7' 11 1/2" by 7' 11 1/2" and dropped it down in the arena, and gathered up all (...) (24 years ago, 11-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  next event

Hi everybody! I'm going to be building a block stacker as well for the next competition. I think that the multiple RCX 1/N is a good rule. I don't like the rubber band rule that you changed so that you can use other rubber bands. They are NOT Lego (...) (24 years ago, 9-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Hi bruce. I hope you don't mind. BUT I'm posting your message here so that other people can add their ideas. this will also cut down on massive e-mails (...) my take on it was the only thing that invalidated a stack was your robot.   Re: how many

Hi there all you fellow Canadian Lego Roboticists! I would like to agree that I too had a lot of fun at the last (my fisrt) Lego Robotics event. I think we can make the next event even better.   Re: Welcome to the newsgroup!

Hi I had a real fun time at the Sept. 23rd event and I encourage everybody to attend the next one. It’s neat to see everybody else’s ideas and robots that they built. I also agree that the Hockey game is cool but the custom made ball thing is a huge (...) (24 years ago, 6-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
