Sure, but you at least admit that they're different. I think it makes sense
to examine how laws _should_ apply to intellectual property in the digital
age, rather than just blindly extending physical property laws via a
somewhat stretched metaphor.
If, in the end, we reach the conclusion that laws/moralty/whatever apply in
exactly the same way to each, that's fine, as long as we get to that point
intelligently.
It might, on the other hand, turn out that there is a greater benefit to
both individuals and society if we treat IP somewhat differently.
Ok, this is moving out of the realm of .fun, and into .debate, and I've
zapped .debate. *sigh* Plus, I need to get some sleep.
