At least if YOU drop it, you don't have to haggle with somebody for
replacement/reimbursement. And if you don't get all of your CD's, you know YOU left a box
sitting somewhere, rather than having to prove that A) the box existed and B) what exactly
was in the box. Hence, the inventories. And man, are they stingy! They'll try to use the
AAFES price for things like TV replacements. Which is all well and good if you're staying
in and can shop at AAFES!! OOPS- sorry about that. Acronym alert! AAFES: Army and Air
Force Exchange Service. It's the military department store. Prices are a touch lower than
civilian stores, and it's tax free.
Anyway. Off to the salt mines again!
