What's the average airspeed of an unladen swallow?

(...) Unladen? You mean autonomic swallowing not associated with ingestion? I would hazard a guess that the average airspeed would be dependant upon the inherent velocity of the lifeform doing the swallowing at the time of the swallow. Which is (...)
