I think with more sellers, there is more competition (on BrickBay or wherever).
The quantity volume on BB has shot thru the roof. 60 days ago, there was
somewhere around 300-325K of parts on all stores, now the number is around 600K
(I'm counting open and closed stores). It doubled in 60 days. I really wonder
what the sell thru is. I keep tight internal numbers for my store, but I wonder
if my experience is typical of everyone.

Yep. My thoughts exactly. It took me forver to figure out the name for those
'fingers' off the Robo Rider ('Black Hinge Train Cantenary Holder', D'oh!). Now
they just sit there. I guess no one needs them.

I started out at $5 and went to $10 real quick. I'm still mulling over a $12 or
$15 minimum. The more times I see orders coming in between $10.00 and $10.50,
the more I wonder which part(s) in the order are the ones they really wanted.
I'm even thinking about offering some kind of spiff for orders that go over a
certain amount (like $50), free shipping or some little set thats not available
any other way. I *really* want some kind of clearance category. Some way to
selectively promote certain items while leaving them listed in their original
category.

I started out doing PM only. One day I walking thru a print shop that a friend
of mine runs. I noticed a case of little boxes, *perk* "what are those for ?".
They were for 500 business cards. So I bought a handful. I just pass on the 40-
cent charge to the customer. Their happy, and it holds *most* parts up to the
13-oz first class weight limit. I'm almost ready to buy a case of them for my
own use (as I'm depleting his stock faster than he prints business cards). I
always clear taped my labels anyway, so its no big deal.
