At this point, could we stop trying to tally up how many people want? This
only serves to clog up mailboxes with basically "me too" posts. We already
know we are going to want hundreds of these figures, but that this total is
heavily price dependent, so any counts now are meaningless until we have a
per unit cost. For example, I'd like 1,000 if they were $0.01 a piece, but
only one if they were $20 each. So until we know 1) whether they'll let us
buy direct and 2) cost per unit, there is really no point in speculating how
many we are going to want.
So I propose we stop the counting and just post when we have something
concrete to work on. Then we'll have a reason to start the list up again.
