I guess I’ll get caught up in this Mathematical craziness, too, since I happen to be a Maths graduate.

My average (mean) set:

    6007 Bat Lord
15 elements, 1 figure, US$4.50, 1997
LEGO > SYSTEM > Castle > Fright Knights

Modal set:

    3219 MINI TIE Fighter
12 elements, 0 figures, 2003
LEGO > SYSTEM > Star Wars > Mini

Median set:

    6523 Red Cross
{44} elements, 1 figure, 1987
LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > {}

Some notes:
  • I actually do own my mean set, but not my median set!
  • I only got my 6 modal sets just over a week ago. Before that, my modal set was 7124, of which I own 3.
  • I’m afraid I had to think for a second about what ‘median’ actually meant. What can I say? Stats was never my strong suit.

(...) I'm confoosled. How can you not own your median set? Unless it means something other than what thought it meant... Michael (only an undergrad :( ) (20 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)
