New Chrome Castle Sets —Richard Marchetti
Dear Brad: Once again some of us in the AFOL community are up in arms about a series of releases that appear to be geographically specific to Germany, or to Europe. I am repeatedly outraged that we AFOL are not promoted to or kept within the loop of (...) (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.castle)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Burkhard Schloemer
(...) Damn right. Besides, what would native americans want with chrome armor for minifing anyway? LEGO logic ;) (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.castle)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I think you might catch a few more flies with honey than with vinegar or vitriol. What exactly is your right to this information?          Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Richard Marchetti
(...) Larry, Larry, Larry... I merely want information about sets currently available elsewhere in the world --how big a breach of proprietary information is this supposed to be?          Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Richard Marchetti
(...) TLC has already established the means to sell to me directly, I am just trying to get them to sell me the products that *I want* (the whole available line of products) instead of the products that they proffer to me instead (a limited range of (...)         Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) [SNIP!!] We have a "charter" for this group, and we still get threads like this. I just don't get it. Personally, I found the tone of the original post to TLC a little unpleasant. But hey, to each his own. I wish you luck. As for the replies, (...) (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.castle)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Richard Marchetti
(...) My apologies. I was not trying to exhibit bad form, which is why I quoted a single statement anonymously from the other writer. S/he did not post here and I thought it was respectful to not make that decision on that person's behalf. I (...) (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.castle)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Larry Pieniazek
(...) What does it mean, exactly, to "support" your wants? I don't have an issue with you wanting things. "Want" all you want. My issue is that you seem to fail to understand basic economics, or seem to think that it doesn't apply to you. You act (...) (24 years ago, 2-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Todd Lehman
(...) Arguing amongst ourselves in this .lego.direct group isn't helpful to TLC, and isn't what this ng is about. Please take LEGO arguments over to .general or .off-topic.debate if they're non-LEGO-related. OTOH, if you're actively arguing with (...) (24 years ago, 2-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Yes, I am seriously suggesting that you have to *justify* TLC making available "the whole available line of products" (1) to everyone worldwide. As I have tried to show by using some examples, I don't think there is money in it for TLC. And (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Todd Lehman
(...) I don't remember how this thread began, but I thought the concern was at least as much that LEGO didn't publicize such things as that they were hard to get. That is, if you don't know something exists, you can't get it. (Or you find out about (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Scott Edward Sanburn
Well, it started when I saw the pictures of those sets in an auction, and I mentioned where those that were in question in the original posting about the guy selling custom sets or real LEGO produced sets. I then commented it would be nice if (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Maggie Cambron

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Richard Marchetti
(...) For my part, I have nothing personal against Larry P. Hopefully these little skirmishes are no more than two Lego enthusiasts battling over the details -- and since the "devil is in the details," he probably possesses us both. -- Richard (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: New Chrome Castle Sets —Larry Pieniazek
(...) You're right, and I agree, it would be wonderful if TLC did this. My issue is that I think there are more effective ways of asking for it than some people seem to want to employ.
