To be fair, the original question should be answered here for the record.
You must "drill down" to a specific newsgroup in order to post. (Choose from
the list of links at the top of the page.) Once you are down in the hierarchy
at least one level beneath the sky, a "New" button appears at the top of the
page which can be used to begin a new thread.
To cross-post to multiple groups, type the names of the additional groups into
the "Newsgroups" field, separated by commas. Use this feature sparingly,
however, or invoke the Wrath of Todd. <sound of thunder>

p.s. There really is no such thing as a "stupid question." At least not
until you know the answer!
