OK, heres what this post is about:
In the original post I made a couple of days ago, I mentioned that LEGO has
agreed to find some ways to help make this transition smoother. There has
been some discussion about items that would be important to lock into the old
colors, including some specific parts selections. There has been some
discussion that its time to move on and focus on building up stocks of the
new colors.
Id love to hear from you what your choice would be, and what parts you
consider priority for either solution.
Please help keep the focus of this post on the request above. Im not
discounting your opinions, concerns, or thoughts. Im just trying to keep
this post on track so that we can come away with a solid understanding of
your thoughts on one particular issue.

In old colors permanently:
4519,
4515,
4531,
4520,
5305,
628,
Mosaics unless you want to use the new colors to make 7 color mosaics instead of
5.
Parts permanently in old color:

A couple of people have mentioned making a bulk tub. Since the company is
becoming famous for eliminating over stock with limited edition buckets this is
probably a great idea. Take the entire stock of old colored parts and make a
product bucket out of it. Sell it exclusively on lego.com and when its gone
you have made tons of money on parts that would otherwise go in the trash heap.
To promote building up stocks of new colors:
5315
5165 double all quantities in this one
Brick pack,
Plate pack,
Assorted slope pack,
Tiles!!!!!!,
Keep the awesome sets coming!!
One last thing,
When listing things on the web site make sure they use the proper names for
the colors. This will eliminate confusion when looking for a specific color old
or new.
Hope this helps,
OnDrew

| Wow, what a crazy couple of days! 250 posts on a thread I started. I'm not sure where to feel shamed or proud. (I know, I know, all I should feel these days is shame) Since my fireproof suit is beginning to strain under the pressure, I'm going to (...)
