And while your at it, please shop at BrickLink... I just checked the BL
inventory of those two colors (if would only give me a lot total, not a pc
count)...
19782 lots of new parts in DkGray
24155 lots of new parts in LtGray
those counts don’t even take into account sets not yet parted or 2002/2003 sets
still on store shelves just now being clearanced. Every time I turn around, I
see parts in the traditional shades of DkGray and LtGray. I think theres plenty
floating around at the momment.
True, there may be particular items that will come short now and then, but for
the momment I don’t see a shortage. If you use an average lot size of 50 pcs,
those lots (above) represent over 2 million pcs.

| All I can say is, "LEGO, what were you thinking??" You've completely wiped neutral grey out of the color palete, and replaced it with blue-grey. I did see one piece that looked good in the new blue-grey, the binoculars the stormtrooper is carrying (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)
