Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Dream —Dean Husby
(...) This is a disaster... If M$ does with LEGO that they do to everyone else we can soon expect LEGO to try to pull the plug on all Free Thinking. Especially anything to do with Linux. V2 may not allow 3rd party programs to work with it now. You (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Dream —Jeff Johnston
(...) Whoah there Dean, calm down. What this press release boils down to is: 1) Microsoft powering the S@H stuff on the Web. * Hey, it can't get any worse than it is now - whenever I try to go there it's so slow as to be completely unusable. 2) LEGO (...)          (...) Um, and why is it so bad? I wonder if it has anything to do with using Microsoft software to begin with.          If we're going to have OS advocacy wars, perhaps we should just all go to slashdot and have them there, rather than cluttering up the list. (...) One word: Expedia.          (...) I set Followup-To: lugnet.off-topic.geek on this post... (...) No matter how good M$S@H may turn out to be, it will still be powered by M$ and not by LEGO, if the press release is accurate. BTW: (URL) 2) LEGO licensed the ability to use (...)             Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Doom —Steve Baker

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Doom —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) I'm honestly a bit puzzled by this statement. Regarding the MS issue, it's not like LEGO has released lots of software for non-MS OS earlier on. And regarding the implied statement that LEGO used to be a moral company. I don't see that (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) Well again, it's only my opinion! It's the only conclusion I can reach. Not suddenly, but gradually over say a 20-year period. I'd been wondering, given all of the things you listed, and now I wonder no more. --Todd (23 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Dream —Brian Dichter

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Dream —John Barnes

I'm glad I finally got my 1.5 version RIS this year.
