Well, here's my two-cents:
As someone who's very recently come back, I wish that I had held on to more
of my original Legos than I did. Much of what I gave away to my younger
siblings - because I was so sure I wouldn't want them again - has been lost.
And what few original pieces I have, make me long for the missing.
I used to have tons of Legos, but now I find that I don't have near enough
for some of the things I want to do. And a lot of those old pieces would be
great right about now. Even just to have bulk.
So, I know it's been said to death already but, Save Your Legos, so that
when you're ready to come back, you won't have to start from scratch. And
who know how much they'll cost later, or what pieces they *won't* make
anymore. (I personally miss the yellow glass pieces from the Galaxy). My
wife already thinks I've spent insane amounts on them - and that's just to
build up my raw stock.
Who knows, maybe if I had a big old box of Legos around, it wouldn't have
taken 10+ years to come back.

| I thank my mother on a regular basis that she kept the LEGOs for me. She instilled several beliefs about LEGO at an early age, the rules were as follows: 1) You do not loan LEGO out to anyone, no matter how nice they are (This relates back to an (...) (24 years ago, 14-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)
