I hesitate to bring up a subject which has fueled such long and tedious
threads in the past. However, it should be noticed that lego put a brown
(albeit unprinted) head on the Tie Pilot. See:

(thanks to James Brown)
Does this bring Lego a step closer to creating African or African/American
minifigures. I think it does. Maybe next year we will see Lando Calrissian.
Again, for all those people invested in this argument I think this is a
significant development.

| (...) I think it's a probe sent out by TLC to gauge reaction. If people get all up in arms about it, they can claim the color of the head is meaningless, it's just there to support the helmet. If people don't then perhaps we will be seeing Lando or (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

| Did the blank black head on Boba Fett last year bring us a step closer? I'm curious - what color facial printing do people envision being used on a black or brown head? I have trouble picturing anything that looks reasonable. Anyone ever do a (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

| (...) I'm just annoyed that we didn't get a classic smiley for the stormtrooper head. Why bother with plain yellow? As to the helmets, the only diff ('sides the hoses & color) is that the TIE pilot has an additional helmet over the top of the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

| Doubt it. They've been making brown minifig heads for AGES, they just haven't released them to the public. Just look over the models in LLC or other Legolands. (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)
