If you want Town LEGO(R) do this:
Buy a boatload of bricks, some from retail, some specialized pieces from LEGO
Direct. Don't forget to get some widows and doors.
Assemble them is interesting ways.

Isn't that sort of the point?
Now don't get me wrong. I LIKE many of LEGO's designs. I wish they would bring
Pirates back and sell a whole new line of Pirate sets. However, that has not
prevented me from grabbing a bunch of parts and building the things that LEGO did
not design, but that I want. Take for instance:

This ship started life as a stock Red Beard Runner. I took some parts off, put
some other parts on, and ta DAA! a nerw Pirate ship.
I say go for it! Or, build for it, in this case...
Please don't infer that I think you really need told this. It just strikes me as
odd that people complain about LEGO not providing the sets you want right out of
the box. Unhook that imagination and build for all you're worth! Which, if you're
in here, is a lot.
