He also gave me a scoop (I guess) about TLC plans for the coming years. • More
Star Wars (we already knew).
Castle will be around for a couple more years,
then it might go away again.
Castle didn't go away, it just swung halfway around the world.  I like the
Ninja sets.  I haven't really bought much Knights Kingdom, is it like • Castle
Jr. or something?  A new subtheme would be great.  I hope its the next
genration of forestmen.

If you want Town Lego(R) lobby them, failing that stage a peacful protest • abut
Jr outside TLC's offices. It worked when Crayola changed it's colors didn't • it?

If you want Town LEGO(R) do this:
Buy a boatload of bricks, some from retail, some specialized pieces from LEGO
Direct. Don't forget to get some widows and doors.
Assemble them is interesting ways.
Bingo: Town!
Ta DAA!

But what about the more specialised parts in town? at the moment the bulk
seems to only be the 'very' basic bricks. Perhaps I lack imagination?

I would like to see Jr remain but not soley. Perhaps  Town Sr us needed, after
all ther are some of us who as kids wanted to design buildings and be
architects rather than go into robotics or mechannical enginerring...

Open request to lugnet.town and others. If you have built a Town MOC or
have an intresting Town/City related article let the fan-zine editors know!

Now don't get me wrong. I LIKE many of LEGO's designs. I wish they would bring
Pirates back and sell a whole new line of Pirate sets. However, that has not
prevented me from grabbing a bunch of parts and building the things that LEGO • did
not design, but that I want.  Take for instance:

http://www.widomaker.com/~litehous/Pirate/PirateW.html

This ship started life as a stock Red Beard Runner. I took some parts off, put
some other parts on, and ta DAA! a nerw Pirate ship.

I say go for it! Or, build for it, in this case...

Exactly my sentiments.  Just the other day I built a water supply tender (
albiet in MLCAD but who cares..)

Please don't infer that I think you really need told this. It just strikes me • as
odd that people complain about LEGO not providing the sets you want right out • of
the box. Unhook that imagination and build for all you're worth! Which, if • you're
in here, is a lot.

I hope I haven't soured your opnion of me..

Incidentally, do you have an artcile or editoral for the fan-zine yet?

Thanks

Alex
