My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

After claiming for the better part of a year to get involved and share something I've done, I have finally can. :) While it's not really a MOC, it's the beginning of a story that provides some background and introduction to the realm I intend to (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) Forest of Blood idea, the flowers blooming where soldiers have died... and what *was* that shadow? <shiver> Can't wait to see the rest... (...) Alright, feedback? Hmm. You might want to check tenses - this is something I have repeatedly had (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) *grin* Thanks! I've found that inspiration comes from out of nowhere (A bolt of lightning in an otherwise darkened night) for me most of the time. Would you believe that the idea and story came about only because I sat down to photograph the 4 (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) Hmm, yes, I could believe that. Although my stories usually come to me when I'm trying to think them out, a few of my big ideas came very randomly and suddenly. And my characters all came *much* before the story did! I *always* have characters (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) which is exactly what any good story wants to do. Bravo!! I enjoyed the bit about what keeps the animals away (don't want to spoil it for any who haven't read it yet). I also like how you mingled the lego with the backgrounds - it works very (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) Well, I checked it out earlier today at school, and I think it's fantastic! Very good for your first story. I was amazed how much image-editing you did for it. I particularly liked the ones where the LEGO path connected to the "real" path, (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) <snip> (...) I've had these 4 characters sitting around for probably the better part of 6 months, now, actually. I guess they figured their own story out and made me tell it finally. <G> <snipped> (...) It certainly takes time; if nothing else (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) <snipped> (...) Thanks, Bill! It's no Chipmu..I mean Wolf ram..but it turned out a whole lot better than I expected. :):) (don't hurt me! hehe) (...) I can't believe how much I've forgotten since school. Grammatical errors.. aren't those the (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) My official feedback is that you should keep doing this! The story was very well done, and the combining the foreground and the background was very well done. I'm a sucker for historical myth, even if the 'history' is ficticious, and the bit (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) <snipped> (...) I learned a new tool in PS - Blur. It worked fairly well to smooth the edges, especially of the trees, to make it look more like one image and not like I just cut something out of a magazine and slopped it onto another picture. (...)   Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) Thanks for the input, Michael! I'll try to keep it up.:) I just hope that the rest of my story meets with as much approval. If there's one thing I, myself, don't like - it's a story that builds up and then fizzles and goes flat. (Gibson's (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) That's often the way it works out.... my characters constantly refuse to buy into my ideas, and come up with their own. ;-) <snip> (...) Clearly talented people, huh? Hehehehe. I felt exactly the same way, and then my posts got the same sort (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) Sounds like the cats I had when I grew up...*chuckle* (...) Well, I'm not an overly artistic person, so it's reassuring to know that I can do SOMETHING semi-artistic and have people say it looks good. Nah.. not too scary. Unlike .space - I (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Ok, I really meant to reply to this when this was in the spotlight, but at the time I was pulling my hair out with my own update, so now that I have the time, I SHALL BE HEARD! :) (...) Sharing a piece of work is not necessarily important, as long (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)
