As Shiri says, 6097 is the perfect choice for castle parts these days. It is cheap, easily available, and has a wide range of parts. It was on sale a while back at kbkids.com for only $25! The downside of this is that nearly every LUGNET'er has a (...) (25 years ago, 21-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

The pteradactyls (sp...=)) Could carry minifigs under them, sort of like a hangglider, i was thinking. How cool would it be to see a flight dark knights swoop down, each carried by a pteradactyl? By putting them in triple layer bunks, I figure I can fit 6 of them in a 8x6x8 area... which means for roughly 100, all you need is a 32x24x8 stud room. As for gear, all their armor and weapons are property of the kingdom, they stay in the armory (...) (25 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Got set 6096 yesterday. A good collection of siege weapons. My only problem with it is that it only come with four mini figs (3 Bulls, 1 Lion prisoner). A couple more Bull soldiers to man the weapons would have been good. Now I have to go build them (...) (25 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)
