I have thought of using Datsville also. http://www.lugnet.com/cad/datsville/
seems to be 4 years old. Is that right?
How did you make your animation? Isn't there suppose to be issues rendering
Datsville because of the size? Or is that 4 year old technology problems... ;)

This technique is really useful once you learn how to do it (the (...) (21 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)
