This is *not* the news all good LCAD-heads have been waiting for, but it is a small step in the right direction. For the past month, I've been working on a prototype for a new Parts Tracker. Wow, it looks like no one is interested in helping edit sections. I was just looking at part 30283 (a real one). Apparently there is a dat file, but it has not yet propagated to partsref. This message (URL) gives a name for 30283 of 'Slope Brick 45 6 x 4 Double Inverted' partsref lists the name for <part:30183> as (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Right. I'd rather have one file be a standard part file, and the other be a "shortcut" type file, meaning that the part name would be prepended with an underscore. (...) partsref (...) difference (...) I was able to lay my hands on 5 ClrDkBlue parts and all are marked 6259. And the grey ones on my Y-wing are 6218. IIRC the UFO quarter saucers used different mould numbers for the clear and opaque versions of (...) (24 years ago, 12-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

For a project I am working on, I need a picture of a datapad (which I posted to .models) with text displayed on its screen (and I don't mean a perfect front view). Franklin, Well, I just called it "palmtree.dat" but since there is not an "official" part number for it, what about something starting with 25, since all the individual parts start with 25?
