Hey, great idea! Having just entered LDLite into the www.sourceforge.net archive, I think CVS would be a good way to distribute and update parts files. (...) How do you know that? I've never seen any formal terms of use statement for the community created part files. With this lacking, wouldn't it be natural for parts authors to assume that submitted parts follow the same terms of use as the (...) (24 years ago, 12-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

It is probably a good idea to serve parts directly from ldraw.org like this. However, I would like to know if this is consistent with the terms of use for the LDraw parts library. There has been some talk about serving LDraw parts directly from ldraw.org, mostly to allow rendering programs to fetch part-files over the internet. Your spring2dat tools looks like it would work for the pneumatic pump cylinders, which also have springs of this nature. Now finally I can delete the (...) I have developped a new utility tool to help creating springs for shock absorber. It is specially usefull for springs that are outside the part like the 2909 Technic Big Shock absorber. The program is available here (URL) Klein A Mindstorms fan. (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I'd like to take this opportunity to note a persistent, unfixed bug: piece 2500c01.dat has a reference to 4-4cone1.dat, which doesn't exist. now, we have two seperate '4-4cone' primitives: 4-4con1.dat (originally 4-4con12.dat, renamed in august 99) (...) Greetings I've been discussing LDraw CD-ROM issues with Don Heyse, Stephen Bissell, and Steve Bliss over the past couple weeks. Don just sent me a master CD-R in the mail of what we have so far. Hi was wonering if anybody was working on a version of the folowing for RISCOS? L-Draw Engine (Prefer nice texturing in L3Lab).
