I agree with Steve some people just aren't into it.  I'll stereotype a bit
and and say the demographic that ain't into it is a bit older.  Is there
anybody in the .mecha group that's over 35?  I doubt it.

Another thing I've noticed is some people don't even no what to make of
mecha.  I've had a woman refer to my innocent valkyrie as a "monster or
whatever it is". :(

Now let me take this opportunity to state why mecha is the bestest.  First
of all I think there is a lot of innovation in this group.  People using
pieces and methods in ways you may never see in castle or trains(no offense
i like these too).  Individuals really pushing the limit of what is possible
with this little brick from denmark.

Second, we are a very prolific group.  Tons of new creations coming out
constantly.  There's always eye candy to look at.

Third, I think the stuff that comes out of here is very creative.  I'll let
that statement stand in it's own stark simplicty.

(...) eeps! That was me! Didn't mean to make you sad. I forgot if they are referred to as "mech" or "mecha", I seem to remember someone being strongly reminded one of the terms was incorrect. Got it now, Mecha. Although, if any of my minifigs saw (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
