Ya, my mom refers to anything I make (mecha-wise) as a "goomer". And Shiri
just gives me crap about it. :-) Women just don't get it. ;-)

I thought about this for a bit, and first I didn't agree with the "most
innovative" thing. But now, thinking about it, yeah. You're right. I'd
have to say that this is the most parts-innovative bunch around. We use
things that things aren't used for. Examples of this include Mladen's guns
'n' rifles as headgear and detail and such, along with a lot of things from
a lot of others. I also like castle; I'm first and foremost a castlehead.
But it's 90% studs up over there. When I build a mecha, I have a chance to
use parts and do things I never would think of for anything else. Like the
Battle Droid bodies. I only realized the potential of these *great* pieces
when I started building small scale mecha.

I'd say we rival, if not surpass the themed groups for the sheer number of
creations. Always something new to learn and look at.

Agreed, wholeheartedly.

| (...) I agree with Steve some people just aren't into it. I'll stereotype a bit and and say the demographic that ain't into it is a bit older. Is there anybody in the .mecha group that's over 35? I doubt it. Another thing I've noticed is some people (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
