As I have stated before, mecha are
incredibely efficient and vicious machines for war, and that is so obvious in
any well designed military mech, that it is down rights scary.  Come on!
Honestly, who the hell in Binocle, Space, etc, etc, has anything that can
match
mechs?  Even the largest of capital ships are no match for a much smaller than
its size MS or mobile armor.

Now this is completly subjective and open to debate.

I personally build what most people consider "cute" and/or "little" fighters.
To me they are able to kill almost any other fighter or mech(a) with one shot.
Hey my "Empire" the Galactic Confederation does not govern 107 galaxies with
flowers.

Now aside from the whole "mine is better than yours because I said so"
argument. To me mech(a)s are a small part of a well rounded military.  A
Mech(a) without fighter escort/coverage would be killed rather quickly.  The
best real world example is Tanks(with AA) vs. Airplanes.  No matter how good
the Tank is, an A-10 "Tank Killer" would make mince meat of it.

(who builds all mech(a) for his forces with "sliding" legs like TLC does for
better playability)

(...) Now that I think of it, you have a good point there. In my pure space days there was nothing in the world that could have convinced me that a Gundam could take down a Star Destroyer for example, and there is nothing now that can convince me (...) (...) Well, you can't say that is 100% true. How about countermeasures which a tank can employ to block the targeting mechanism of the missile? For example, the Russian T-90 has a whole bunch of things that allow it to survive. First off, and this (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) 1. Hmm... It's probably a good thing I din't catch that. I just made a little experiment on my mother. I showed her a military space ship and a military mech and her responce was that the mech was simply too good and it was too obvious that it (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
