THE best? Well, that's saying a lot, thanks. I think Karim's transforming Dragon mech is still the best Lego mecha I've seen. My two latest are probably the best Gundam-ish mecha anyone's built to date IMO. BTW, I'm going to be posting some windows (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

Thanks Pat, I built the Saidin Mecha first, and it was by far my best micro-fig scale mecha to date. I recently tore apart all my other stuff (X-wing, B-wing, most of my VO mechs), and I decided to try another mecha in the same vein as the Saidin. (...) Thanks. Actually, several of the mecha on my site are directly modeled from Virtual On Cyber Troopers, the Temjin, Fei Yen, Dorkas, Viper II, and Bal Bas Bow. The Golden and Silhouette are inspired by VO, but not directly modeled after any specific (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

Awesome as ever Dave. I really like the grey and red color scheme. Wow. That mecha is JUST SO COOL! I love the kegs, they look great. Excelent design. My only gripe is the lack of weapons, but from what I see from your other models, you focus more on The model itself. By the way- golden is a really good one too. (...) Very nice! I like the use of the green elements; not something you see much of in mechs. You're right, though. You need to build up the thighs and hide those throwbot joints on the hips better. Nice work Mladen! You're site is enormous with quality models! Judging from the amount of high quality mecha MOCs being shown it might be a good time for a Mecha design contest! My favourite addition to this mecha was the stunstick, which is standard issue equipment for the Police Labors (i.e. Mecha) in _Patlabor_, I just wanted to through that obscure piece of info to ya'll! Yeah, all of my mecha have entry hatches. I was going to do a pic of the inside but I was getting very tired and just wanted to put it on the net. Those assault walkers are real sweet, I especially like how you've put those horrible Aquazone cockpits to really good use, also in the civilian flyers. Nice work! Coooool. Personally, I like the compactness of the Sauron, with the triple engine cluster. Reminds me of a Cylon Raider. Very nice. The Mandrill has some good solutions using the ThrowBots pieces. Check out the "Stargeist" in the U.E.S.F. starfighters section, the "Banshee" and the "Helios" in the new Venusian Colonial Fighters section, and the "Sauron" in the Vedraan Starfighters section. (...) That would be more of a fast attack/light assault mecha. Assault Mecha would have heavier armor, more powerfun weapons, and a slower rate of fire, thereby moving slower. (...) ...Ive always thought of the word assault as a charge or initial attack, so by that term, an assault mecha would be fairly fast, preferably lightly armed in preference to heavily armoured with the idea being to get to the enemy intact as fast (...)
