Well, my mecha was unleashed upon the unsuspecting troopers of Stephen Roberts
in the first Wamalug Brickwars event on Saturday, and proceeded to slaughter
them mercilessly!  :)  Anyway, a few pics can be found here:

<http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=361>

It still needs a little bit of work (the hips and thighs weren't finished), as
it doesn't stand very well on its own (and the Rocket Pack I made is waaay too
heavy...).  Does anyone have any suggestions on tightening up the hip joints?
It is currently using the tight Throwbots Ball and Socket setup, with two
rubberbands going through it to add more fiction.

Also, Before any Wamalug members do so, I'd like to nominate it for
Freaky-Big-Mecha-That-Can-Hardly-Stand-On-Its-Own-Site-Of-The-Week.  :)

Jeff

P.S.  I'm thinking af calling it "Kodotai", built by Shinryuu Industries(1).
Any thoughts?

1 - Anyone know what this means exactly?  It is a monster in Final Fantasy V,
and somehow I got the impression it means "Dragon Lord"...

Very nice! I like the use of the green elements; not something you see much of in mechs. You're right, though. You need to build up the thighs and hide those throwbot joints on the hips better. I was also impressed with the head of the mech. The way (...) (25 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) It's always difficult to say when you can't see the kanji for something. I know that 'ryu' can translate as dragon, though, so you're at least half right... J (25 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) k. :) (...) Oh yeah, well mine's bigger (freaky-bigger?) and more-unstable-er. Especially if I attach the MT-5 to its back ;^) Nice green parts, though. Great mech. I like the face, it reminds me a lot of Optimus Prime. I have some of those pieces that you've used for the "mouth" laying around wondering what to do with them, well now I know. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Nice Mecha. It looks a lot like one of the Gundam Mobile Suits from Gundam Wing (especally the sword). I'm just a beginner though;-) Dan P.S. The name should be something scary in Latin like Deus Ex Machina or Hades (I know thats not latin) (...) (25 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
