I have to admit Dave that your designs have be an inspriration to me in
building my on mecha. Over Easter weekend, I took some time to start working
on different types of hands, feet and especially the joints. I was wondering
if you would care to enlighten me about the construction of the hip joint in
these two models, that is one thing that remains a mystery to me, due to your
effective use of "skirting" armor (which really looks cool by the way!).

| I have a tough time describing the parts I use, but I'll give it a whirl. I've found the best hip joints are the black technic peg hinges. They consist of 2 parts, on one end of each part is a half technic peg and the other is a 3 or 2 finger hinge. (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)
